2024 Annual Board Report

Admission Process

Whether you are new to methadone maintenance treatment or transferring from another clinic, our intake process is designed to be thorough yet straightforward. If you have any questions, our intake coordinators at either location are happy to assist you.
  • Call to Schedule Your Intake
    Step 1
Contact either of our clinics to start the process. During this call, our intake coordinator will gather basic information and schedule your intake appointments.
  • Medical Intake
    Step 2
You will be scheduled for an in-person appointment to meet with one of our medical doctors for a physical exam. Here you will also discuss medication assisted treatment options (methadone) to ensure you feel prepared to make an informed decision regarding treatment options. You will also provide a urine sample and receive a lab order for bloodwork at any Quest Diagnostics location.
  • Clinical Intake
    Step 3
After the medical evaluation, you’ll meet with a counselor for the clinical portion of your intake. You will receive a client handbook and a review our policies, procedures and next steps for treatment.

Transferring From Another Facility

If you are currently receiving methadone treatment at another clinic and wish to transfer to Progressive Medical Specialists, Inc., we are here to make the process as smooth as possible. Before starting the transfer, you will need to complete a Release of Information form with your current (home) clinic or with us. Having your home clinic send your records and dosing information to us prior to your intake appointment will greatly assist in ensuring a seamless transition of care. Our intake coordinator can guide you through each step of this process, answer your questions, and coordinate with your current clinic to avoid any interruption in treatment.

Payment & Insurance

We strive to make treatment accessible and affordable for everyone. Progressive Medical Specialists, Inc. accepts Medicare (including Medicare Advantage plans), Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans, as well as self-pay options for those without coverage. If you have questions about your insurance benefits or payment options, our staff is happy to assist you in finding the best solution for your needs.

If starting onto our program sounds right for you, contact us today to get started.
